Mad Scientists Loose in the Kitchen: Discover the amazing chemical phenomena happening in your pantries and refrigerators. Explore sundry savory science! Grades PreK-K

Fairy Tale Festival: Imagine, dramatize, and illustrate your way through fairy tales and their fractured retellings. Investigate fantastic places, creatures, and characters. How might you create your own fairy tale? Grades PreK-K

Creative Writing: Could paintings, posters, films, magazines, and books inspire you to compose stories and poems? Respond to a variety of imaginative, creative catalysts by writing free verse and stories of adventure, fantasy, biographical fiction, fractured fairy tales, and mysteries. See your work published in our magazine. Grades 1-8

Strange Brews: Create mystery solutions with curious chemical properties in a slightly weird, fingers-on science lab. Grades 1-2

Chemical Concoctions: Investigate chemical properties via hands-on experiments with solutions and reactants. Identify mystery powders and secret ingredients. Cause fascinating chemical reactions! Grades 3-8

Games Mathematicians Play: Discover the power of logical reasoning via math games. Analyze each game to discover mathematical insights and winning strategies. Grades 1-4

Math Strategies and Problem Solving: Are you looking for fresh challenges in math? Delve into number theory, probability, algebra, and geometry. Investigate logic based problem solving. Tackle problems from math competitions. Equip yourself with useful strategies. Grades 5-8

Medieval Times: Explore the age of castles,> kings and queens, knights and princesses, whence evolved unicorns and dragons, wizards and hobbits. Design your castle, create your coat of arms, and partake of a medieval feast. Grades 1-4

Lego Mindstorms Robotics: Apply engineer ing principles to create an autonomous robot using motors, gears, and sensors. Program your robot to complete challenges of increasing complexity. ($10 lab fee) Grades 3-6

Theater Club: Experience the exhilarating world of live theater! Develop different characters as you play theater games, rehearse skits, and perform for family and friends. Grades 1-8

Art Unlimited: Does art ignite creativity in you? Pursue your own unique avenues of artistic expression. Create multi-dimensional masterpieces that reveal your muse and the fun of being an artist! Grades 1-8

Workshops for Grades 5-8

Fashion Design: Discover sketching, mood boards, fabric choices, and clothing construc tion. Select your own fabric and create a one- of-a kind garment of your own design.

Electronics and Robotics Lab: Construct photophobic bugs, electronic games and dice, traffic lights, sirens, and/or robots. Solder and assemble circuit boards, decipher technical instructions, and read schematic diagrams as you progress at your own pace through projects of increasing difficulty and complexity.
