Courses for Students Entering PreK and Kindergarten

Students enjoy the following two classes every morning:

Outer Space Escapades: Blast off, astronauts, to an astronomically fun, factual, and fantastic exploration of the universe! Experience the joy of discovering, creating, and learning through an interdisciplinary approach integrating science, literature, math, history, art, and drama.

Tall Tales, Small Tales: Imagine, illustrate, construct, and dramatize as you discover delightful tales and use your vivid imagination, sense of humor, and unique ideas to create your own

Courses for Students Entering Grades 1 - 6

Students enjoy three classes every morning, chosen from the following:

Creative Writing: Could posters, paintings, films, and books inspire you to write stories and poetry? Be published in our magazine.
Grades 1-6

Detective Science: Can you solve the case of the missing teddy bear? Whet your sleuthing skills, dauntless detectives, and begin the
investigation! Grades 1-2

Crime Lab Chemistry: Reconstruct the crime scene, sleuth the area for clues, and analyze forensic evidence. Piece together your findings and solve the case. Does the evidence prove your hypothesis? Can you convince your peers? Grades 3-6

Theater Club: Experience the exhilarating world of live theater! Develop different characters as you play theater games, rehearse skits
and scenes, and perform for family and friends. Grades 1-6

Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists: Discover superstars of art, from Leonardo da Vinci to pop pioneer Andy Warhol. Exlore
their techniques, experiment with various art mediums, and meet many great artists along the way! Grades 1-6

Geometry with an Artistic Twist: Explore and create elements of geometric design, including 2-D and 3-D shapes, symmetry, tessellations, tangrams, and more! Grades 1-6

Chess Club I: Intrigued by the game of chess? Learn how to play, exploring basic openings, end games, and strategies. All chess
enthusiasts welcome! Grades 1-6

Chess Club II: Hone your skills and sharpen your strategic thinking by investigating advanced openings, end games, and strategies.
Experienced players only. Grades 3-6

LEGO Robotics I: Engineer and program Mindstorms robots to solve challenges using gears, motors, sensors, and computers. ($10 lab fee) Grades 3-6

LEGO Robotics II: Work with other advanced students to strategize, design, program, and race your robots. ($10 lab fee) Grades 4-6
