PreK and Kindergarten - Students will enjoy the following two 75-minute courses every Sunday:



Space Explorers: Blast off, astronauts, to an astronomically fun, factual, and fantastic exploration of the universe!
Tales Around the World: Ever wonder how the story of The Gingerbread Boy is told in China? In Mexico? Explore folktales, fairy tales, and storytelling around the world.

1st - 8th Grade Courses (as indicated) - Students enrolling in two 75-minute courses choose from the following:

Creative Writing: Compose stories and poetry inspired by posters, paintings, films, books, etc. Be published in your class magazine. Grades 1-8
Bubble-Ology: Explore principles of air, density, and surface tension. Concoct solutions and experiment with bubble-making effectiveness. Will you create the biggest, the longest lasting, or the craziest shaped bubble? Grades 1-2
Harry Potter-Ology: Immerse yourself in a �Wizarding World.� Be sorted into a house, formulate spells, play quiddich, concoct strange potions, and create your own wand. Try butterbeer and wizard candy! Grades 3-8
Art Unlimited: Does art ignite creativity in you? Create multi-dimensional masterpieces of mixed media, methods, and muses. Grades 1-8
Chemistry Experiments: What is a scientific experiment? How are results analyzed and conclus- ions drawn? Probe properties and phases of matter and investigate chemical reactions in this hands-on chemistry lab. Grades 3-8
Dynamic Dramatics: Experience the exhilarating world of live theater! Develop different characters as you play theater games, rehearse skits and scenes, and perform for family and friends. Grades 1-8
Math Around the World: Embark on a global mathe- matical tour! Count with Mayan numerals and Egyptian hieroglyphs. Explore African networks and sand drawings. Discover math in folktales. Grades 1-2
Math Puzzles, Clues, and Codes: Ponder enigmatic puzzles and perplexors. Investigate clues through logic-based problem solving. Come one, come all to crack codes in math! Grades 3-6
Introduction to Lego Robotics: Engineer and program robots to solve challenges using gears, motors, sensors, and computers. ($10 lab fee) Grades 3-8
Lego Robotics Competition: Join with other advanced students to strategize, design, program, and ultimately race your robots. (Prerequisite: at least one Lego Robotics course.) ($10 lab fee) Grades 3-8
Computer Game Design: Learn to program in Scratch as you explore different design options and create your own computer game. Grades 3-8
Advanced Programming in Scratch: Build on earlier programming knowledge to create more sophisticated games using Scratch. (Prerequisite: at least one programming class in Scratch.) Grades 3-8


Workshops for Grades 5 - 10 - Students enrolling in a two and one-half hour workshop will choose from the following:

Historic Games of Strategy and Diplomacy: Re-enact history through games of strategy. Expand empires through 4,000 years of History of the World; invade Brittania; lay iron track across the prairie as an Empire Builder or across Europe in Eurorails; fight World War II in Axis and Allies. Grades 5-10
Electronics and Robotics Lab: Explore electronic components and learn basic circuitry while con- structing various projects, from sirens to dice to robots! Learn to solder, decipher technical instructions, assemble circuit boards, and read schematic diagrams. ($60 lab fee) Grades 5-10
