Program Structure / Application / Placement

For all students at Worlds of Wisdom and Wonder, mornings consist of three 50 minute classes. Kindergarten and 1st grade students explore various themes through literature, art, science, drama, math, and movement. Curricula for students in 2nd through 6th grades encourage the development of problem solving skills and creativity. Projects and activities in all classes evoke active, hands-on participation. Students enrolled in the Morning Program at Walt Disney Magnet School attend classes from 9:20 until 12:00, Monday through Friday from June 25th to July 6th. There are no classes on July 4th.

The exciting afternoon component of the Full-Day program provides hands-on discovery through a creative blend of activities structured around various themes. Cooperative, progressive games and sports, computers, art, drama, and outdoor science impel the integration of thinking and motor skills, minimize competition, and support and maintain the educational philosophy of The Center for Gifted. Full-Day students attend from 9:00 to 3:00, and bring sack lunches which are refrigerated.
